Our Work

Researches

We all encounter research in our daily lives. Generally the purpose of any research is to get deep into the topic you are working on so that something helpful can churn out, which can be helpful for everybody and used in that particular niche sector. Researches provide the best of the solution to some of the world problems and also to enhance our knowledge. Doing research is the best and most reliable way to understand and act on the complexities of various challenges that we as humans are facing.

Mathematics is one of the oldest branches of science. Applied mathematics distinguishes itself from pure mathematics in that it derives inspiration for its own development from ‘contact’ with fields such as physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, economics, computer science and many more. As a matter of fact, mathematics, and certainly applied mathematics has in large part developed in response to the need to be able to formulate and solve challenges and models in those fields. Thus, TRIMS prepare research candidates to be able to work across disciplines which is a necessary skill to confront society’s grand challenges in both academic and non-academic roles.

TRIMS research team organizes and hosts collaborative mathematical and computational scientific research in various areas some of them are technology, healthcare, economic, academic and many more to get significance insight of the problem we are facing and come up with solutions. We embrace an interdisciplinary approach to interplay the role of mathematics and other disciplines in real life. We solicit in-situ and real-time problems and devise methods to delineate their sources and suggest practical-based solutions. As mentioned earlier, we take advantage of the current advances in computational technology to approach in-field problems in the areas of health, economics, anthropology, climate change, economics and the vast majority of other areas of natural and social sciences determining human development.

Also, TRIMS invites the submission of proposals for full-year or half-year programs to be held at TRIMS. Planning such programs is generally done about six months in advance. The door is open to all researcher around the global with the interest working or collaborating in mathematical or computational science.

As Swahili language reaches its mile stone as official language in Africa and the rest of the world, our research publications are available in both English and Swahili languages and, therefore making TRIMS the first research institute to offer Mathematical Sciences Researches in Swahili language.
